thanksgiving in gracetopia

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is my favorite holiday. Hands down. Food and football, friends and family. No stress about presents. (I’m looking at you, Christmas.) The cooking’s not really too bad except for the hour at the end when everything has to be finished at once. And then there’s lots and lots of eating and drinking and hanging around with people and trying to ignore the cat’s sad eyes when she doesn’t get turkey. I love it.

I don’t really do the sentimental “this is what I am thankful for today” type of thing, because I’m a very in-the-now person and sitting and reflecting takes away from that. Also I get distracted from eating. (I’m not very deep, am I?)

I am thankful for friends and family, past, present and future; also my kitty.

That pretty much covers everything, I think.
