NaNo: one week in

Because there aren’t enough blog posts about NaNoWriMo right now.

You may recall that I’m cheating this year, using the energy of November to push me over the hump and finish my in-process novel. So far? I’ve clarified some of my ideas, but I haven’t gotten a lot of writing done. Some, not a lot. I’m now in a hard-to-finish section, which I’m thinking I will probably just skip and come back to. Haphazard writing method for the win.

On the off-chance anyone stumbles across this blog who’s doing NaNo in the Boston area, you can find me at some of the write-ins. I’m the… nutty one? You’ll find me. I’m hard to miss.

  1. I’ve actually heard a lot of people skip around and write the most interesting scenes first, then go back later and fill in the holes. I’ve done it before, too. Whatever works best for you.
